Making the Crystal Dream pen is an extremely complex procedure. Custom-made tools and machines are used to process the lavatic material. Each part must be carefully polished before assembly to give the pen its final soft leather texture.
The Double Reservoir Power Filling system, patented by Visconti in 1998, was a turning point for fountain pen users. This mechanism makes it possible to refill the two communicating reservoirs with ink but also seal one off from the other.
